Raoul Weber

Raoul Weber, from Luxembourg

2014 graduate from the Bachelor of Science (academic) in Physics at University of Luxembourg

Why did you choose the University of Luxembourg for your studies?

This choice mainly rested on my interest in Condensed Matter Physics and my positive experiences during my Bachelor studies in physics at the University of Luxembourg.

The Master in Condensed Matter Physics is relatively new and it gives students the opportunity to build a good relationship between students and professors. Likewise, I am looking forward to being introduced to up-to-date contemporary research projects.

What do you like most about your Master?

The programme of this Master is very interesting because it lets you investigate and learn accordingly a very broad range of topics from soft to hard condensed matter.

The number of students registered allows one to develop a very strong team spirit among students and to have time for personal tutoring from professors.

What advice could you give to prospective students?

Since the programme of this Master is very ambitious, you need to work hard and stay focused. These studies are a great opportunity to work in groups with the other students in order to flower out a good team spirit and profit from it.
And do not forget to get the best out of the individual support offered by professors.
